Frequently asked questions
Why is my Anacharis falling apart at the bottom?
The lower stem rots when it is shaded by its own dense top growth or crushed too deep into substrate. Plant stems individually and shallow, or float them; when a stem thins at the base, cut and replant the healthy top.
Is Anacharis good for goldfish tanks?
It is one of the few plants that thrives in goldfish temperatures — and goldfish will graze it. In practice it grows fast enough that a decent bunch keeps ahead of the nibbling, doubling as a vegetable supplement.
