Propagation
Produces plantlets on long flower stalks; detach each rooted plantlet once it has several leaves and plant it.
Frequently asked questions
Will the spots on my Green Ozelot Sword fade?
The dark speckling is most pronounced on new leaves and under decent light; in very dim tanks the contrast softens but rarely vanishes. Good root feeding keeps fresh, well-marked leaves coming, which is what maintains the spotted display.
Is the Green Ozelot Sword too big for a community tank?
Only for small ones. In a 20-gallon-plus tank it makes an excellent background centerpiece, and angelfish and other midsize community fish appreciate the broad leaves. In tanks under about 15 gallons it will quickly dominate, so choose a smaller sword or crypt instead.
