Also known as Hedgehog Snail, or Thick Armored Spiny Snail, the Brotia Armata is a rare mollusk from the Kaek River, in Thailand. These creatures have an impressive appearance. Their amazing spiky shells can be gold brown or a darker brown color and have an incredible thickness to it, making it one of the hardiest snail shells in the aquarium hobby. They will bury themselves from time to time if the water conditions are not ideal.
The Armata Snail prefers thinner substrates and high water flow.
Although this snail does well in planted aquariums, make sure to keep them well fed as they have been seen munching on thinner plants.
