Originating from all over South America, the Mystery Snail is very common in the aquarium hobby. Most Mystery Snails are captive-bred these days. They are very easy to breed and if your water parameters are right, they will lay eggs and eventually those eggs will hatch. And if you think that is a bad thing, think again ... more Mystery Snails, more algae that will be consumed from your aquarium. Now, if you have a heavily planted aquarium, i would suggest checking out some of our other snails which won't breed in freshwater and are best suitable for planted tanks. These snails are extremely hardy and live in a vast variety of water parameters. Very slow moving gastropods, always hungry and that will grown in a heart-beat.
  • Great at consuming algae;
  • Plant safe;
  • Active 24/7;
  • Amazing color variety;
  • Very peaceful.
Mystery Snails eat a big variety of foods such as:
  • Algae
  • Algae Wafers
  • Invertebrate Pellets
  • Decaying Plant Matter
  • Zucchini
  • Dead fish
Care for them:

Beautiful snails

Snails arrived in great condition and began to move around and explore not long after being released into the new home. Looks like I received a nice variety and I am pleased with my purchase.

Friendly service

Friendly service and quick response. Sails look cool. Make sure to read the description and order a heat pack with it. I failed to do so and lost my snails during shipping, it voids the warranty.

The snails came in alive , however ended up being dead after a week. I’ve had snails just like these in the same aquarium and lived for months. These however didn’t seem active at all. They did not move much or eat much. I wouldn’t say it’s the seller and it could just be me, but I can sadly say that I won’t be purchasing through them again.
