The Kleiner Bar Sword is a hybrid plant between an Echinodorus barthii and Echinodorus Uruguayensis. Its foliage is absolutely stunning - this plant features broad, green leaves which will convert to be completely copper/red color once submerged and if provided with the correct parameters, nutrients and lighting. Native from North, Central, and South America, this amphibious plant will grow out of water if not pruned from time to time.

Like many other swords, this one is a very hardy plant that will make a great addition to any beginners tank.

Great for providing shelter to small fish.

I received a beautiful selection of red swords. They were packaged very nicely- it's clear the company takes great pride in their product and ships them with care. Each bundle had a large amount of root growth as well as 13+ leaves (from new shoots to fully grown). I have never experienced 'melt' with any of the plants I have purchased from this company... Not even the crypts!!! (most professional aqua scalers just cut the leaves and plant the roots as crypts are notorious for melting).
