Description

Originating from South America, the Purple Mystery Snail is rarest out of all Mystery Snail species. As you can tell by their name, this Mystery Snail has a beautiful Purple round shell with a black foot. Most Purple Pomacea Bridgesii are captive-bred, as they are quite easy to breed.

I do NOT keep my Purple Snails with any of my other assorted Mystery Snails as I don't want them to interbreed. My line is as pure as it gets!

Can't tell the difference from the black snails

I ordered most of the available mystery snails and was especially excited about the purples. Everyone arrived alive. However, I was disappointed to discover that I can't really tell the difference between the purple and the black snails in person. Also, the purple snail shells were pretty scratched up. So they ended up being much less cool than I was hoping.
Overall, AquaMotive did a good job packing and sending our order.

Very healthy and growing like weeds

The purple is so dark they are almost black. Beautiful and very active. I never thought I would love watching snails, but compared to other types these little guys are in the Indy 500!
