Amazon Frogbit (Limnobium Laevigatum)

Amazon Frogbit, also known as Spongeplant, is a floating aquatic plant first seen in Central and South America. Over the years, Frogbit has spread around the world and can be commonly seen in bodies of freshwater around Australia, parts of Africa, and even North America. Due to it's ability to adapt, frogbit is a great floating plant for beginners as it is capable of thriving in most freshwater habitats.

This plant is beneficial for any aquarium as it consumes ammonia and nitrates while providing shade and shelter for smaller top dweller fish, and fry.
