Description
Originating from Asia, betta fish are quite common in the aquarium hobby. They populate rice paddies, marshes, ditches, and any Asian slow-moving waters that provide shelter and are densely planted. Male bettas are aggressive towards each other and should be kept by themselves. Female bettas on the other hand, can be quite peaceful with each other and other aquarium fish.
