Description
Salvinia Natans, also known as Floating Fern, is a floating aquatic plant that reproduces quickly and has a fast growing rate. Found all over the globe, this plant is beneficial for any aquarium as it consumes ammonia and nitrates while providing shade and shelter for smaller top dweller fish, and fry.
Salvinia Natans has green cup-like ruffled leaves and will form a 'carpet' on the surface of your aquarium. It is also a bigger type of Salvinia which sends side shoots and can grow to be 2" tall.
Salvinia Natans is somewhat hard to find but a great option to substitute the more common Salvinia Minima.
