I ordered these specifically to get a color mix. I even included a listing of my color preferences, in order. The * only color I asked them not to send was chocolate.
They sent an orange and 3 white spotted. Defeats the purpose of "variety"- I would rather have picked two colors and bought a 2 pack of each.
*Edit. My next order was two yellows (since I didn't get a good variety the first time). They sent two wild green color. These two were pretty inactive - my daughter kept telling me the smaller one was dead, and she was right. The whole experience has kind of soured me on the rabbit snails. I did not order from my regular supplier strictly because of the colors at AquaMotiv. Disappointing. I'm adding this to this review because AquaMotiv refunded $10 of my yellow snail order and now it won't let me leave a review. Attached see picture of "yellow* snail. Just keep in mind if color is important to you.
Everything was dead. The package was roasting. There was a cool pack inside but it was actually hot to the touch. I waited by the door so that there was no time it would be outside but apparently the truck was extremely hot inside!
Hello. We sincerely apologize for this experience. We do our best to ensure all our snails go in a box that has a heat shield liner and an ice pack. During the summer, if a package gets delayed, the heat could get to them but we have a 100% live arrival guarantee and you are always covered. Packaging was excellent for these snails. One didn’t make it, but the other 2 are doing well. They are a lot smaller than I expected but really happy with their appearance. It’s kinda like Easter egg hunting looking for them in the tank! If you need a lot of space covered in your tank you will need a lot more snails due to their size. They don’t stop moving and cleaning tho. They are small but mighty!
While these are beautiful snails with cool little markings on their shells, they are super small and aren’t very resilient. 2 of them didn’t last a whole week. I still have one little guy and it stays busy. Every day I look for it. It’s all over the place. It’s fun hunting for it and seeing where it is. Just dissatisfying with only the one. At least I have other nerties that are the bigger standard types. A 10 gallon tank would be a galaxy to cover for this one little guy!
All 3 arrived alive and were up and sround within minutes. It’s only been 2 days but so far so good. Put 2 in my 10 gal with a pink lady and the other jn my 7 gal with a black helmet
