Description
The Freshwater Gold Clam is an amazing creature that can be found all over the world. They are living filters that will remove uneaten foods and detritus from your aquarium, causing nitrate levels to drop and help maintain your aquarium water clean and clear.
This Freshwater Clam has a yellow/tan shell, and loves to bury itself in finer substrates. They are extremely peaceful and can be housed with inverts and other non-aggressive fish.
Clams will obtain their nutrients by filtering. Additional supplements can be offered in the form of invert pellets or sticks.
Care for them:

- Temperature: 60-82
- PH: 6.5-8.4
- GH: 6-8
- KH: 2-12
- Max size: 2"
It is possible that some clams have shell damage due to wild encounters.
DO NOT USE COPPER IN AQUARIUMS CONTAINING CLAMS!
Do NOT keep clams with puffer fish.
