Description

Naturally from India, these Nerite Snails are some of the hardest to find in the aquarium hobby. They are easy to breed in captivity but their eggs will only hatch in brackish water, so you don't have to worry about them breeding in your aquarium. Nerite snails are extremely hardy and live in a vast variety of water parameters. Batik Nerite Snails have an amazing shell color - they are yellow/light orange with black zig-zags/scribles. They are very good scavengers that will dig under the gravel, if needed, to get that extra algae meal.

  • Great for planted tanks;
  • Will not breed in freshwater;
  • Active - Nerites are at work 24/7;
  • Safe for plants and any other aquarium inhabitants;;
  • The BEST at eating algae.

These Batik Nerite Snails are both beautiful and VERY active. Cleaned algae off the tank glass in no time flat. Packaged very carefully and well insulated. They are a fabulous addition to my tank. They were up and moving minutes after entering the tank. Second time I've ordered from these folks and both times a fantastic experience with very healthy and active snails. Will keep ordering from here because the snails are healthy and first rate, shipping rates low and easily tracked.
