Description

Originating from all over South America, the Mystery Snail is very common in the aquarium hobby. Most Mystery Snails are captive-bred these days. They are very easy to breed and if your water parameters are right, they will lay eggs and eventually those eggs will hatch. And if you think that is a bad thing, think again ... more Mystery Snails, more algae that will be consumed from your aquarium. Now, if you have a heavily planted aquarium, i would suggest checking out some of our other snails which won't breed in freshwater and are best suitable for planted tanks. These snails are extremely hardy and live in a vast variety of water parameters. Very slow moving gastropods, always hungry and that will grown in a heart-beat.
  • Great at consuming algae;
  • Plant safe;
  • Active 24/7;
  • Amazing color variety;
  • Very peaceful.
Mystery Snails eat a big variety of foods such as:
  • Algae
  • Algae Wafers
  • Invertebrate Pellets

Mystery snail 3 pack mixed

Snails arrived fast and in perfect condition. Super healthy and large. After being introduced to the tank they borrowed into the gravel and stayed there until the next day, likely due to stress from travel. Since then (two weeks now) they've been hard at work cleaning up dead plant debris on the tank floor and had it 90% clean in the first three days of zooming around. Still very much thriving. This is my third or 4th order in the last year, always highly satisfied. Nerites I ordered last year still thriving and have kept my tank algae free. 65 gallon planted tank with peaceful tetras, danios and snails, tank is fully self sustaining. All I have to do is refill evap water and throw in a wondershell now and then. Zero maintenance since outside of that since last fall.
