Description
The Asian Opal Freshwater Clam is an amazing creature that can be found in Asia. They are living filters that will remove uneaten foods and detritus from your aquarium, causing nitrate levels to drop and help maintain your aquarium water clean and clear.
This Clam has an oval, yellow/beige shell and they love to bury themselves in finer substrates. They are extremely peaceful and can be housed with inverts and other non-aggressive fish.
Clams will obtain their nutrients by filtering. Additional supplements can be offered in the form of invert pellets or sticks.
